Biodegradable Cable Ties

HellermannTyton biodegradable cable ties made by moulding polylactic acid (PLA), a plant derived biodegradable material. Cable tie breakage starts occuring after approximately 3 weeks of composting, after 12 weeks the ties are easily broken by hand and followed by biodegradation by micro-organisms almost all of the tie decomposes into water and carbon dioxide. Applications include securing hoses, cables, poles and pipes in outdoor environments. Used in agriculture, forestry, composing, outdoor events, temporary signage, and outdoor construction. Disintegration test based on ISO16929.
